Frequently Asked Questions

Why Should I work with Ignite?

Ignites’ approach is based on proven fundamental coaching and change principles. Coaching is about client driven self-discovery, exploring how your values, beliefs, attitude, behaviours and emotional tendencies influence the achievement of your desired results. You will feel supported in our journey as you build the necessary skills, mindset shifts and self-efficacy to realize defined results and sustain behaviour change over the long term. The coaching relationship is a space to provide healthy challenge in understanding your reflexes, reflect on actions, identify patterns, in service of making informed choices that align with your desired outcomes and realize personal and professional success.

How do I know if i’m ready for coaching?

If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed or have a desire for personal or professional growth. You have tried other methods with little to no consistent success or continue to fall back into old habits. You are willing to engage in self-reflection and push beyond your comfort zone. You are ready to embrace change, commit to the process and take ownership of your own success.

Ask yourself:

1. Am I dissatisfied with my current results, given the level of effort I have invested?

2. Am I ready to be vulnerable and honest about my personal and professional challenges, my current values, emotions, habits and behaviours?

3. To make changes in my life, am I willing to get uncomfortable and take on the challenge of breaking old patterns?

4. Do I understand that my success ultimately lies with me?

Sound like you? Answered yes? Then a conversation with a coach may prove beneficial.

How can I prepare for my first session?

You get out what you put in. Spend some focused time in self-reflection, consider your strengths, areas for improvement and values. This will set a foundation for our conversation.

Clarify your goals – define what you want to achieve through coaching – how will you define success?

Prepare some questions about the coaching approach, expectations, how best to maximize value of the sessions and any concerns you may have.

How can I ensure I get the most value from the coaching relationship?

Demonstrate commitment through being punctual, actively engaged, and display a willingness to take the conversation below the surface. Take ownership of the process and results by doing the actions you and your coach set out. Finally, be honest and authentic. Share openly your concerns if something is not working for you let your coach know; they are acting in your service.

What areas of focus do you support?
